We’re all looking for a guide in life – someone who can lead us to a place of joy and fulfillment. Sometimes we look to a friendship, a spouse, a job, or even our favorite talking head to find that direction. In I Samuel, we find God’s people asking for a King to be their guide. They believed a King was the only way to experience satisfaction and be complete.

Over the next 16 weeks, we’re going to study 1 Samuel together to learn from the mistakes God’s people made chasing worldly satisfaction and ultimately see there’s only one King who can guide us to the things our hearts desire.
