Restore
Learn the tangible ways Jesus makes a difference in your everyday life.
We are all living in a story that is currently being written. But most of us approach that story apart from God’s story. The problem is our story will never make sense or feel complete without learning how to connect it to God’s story in normal, everyday ways.
Restore is a discipleship framework that helps you experience how God’s story and the work of Jesus makes a difference in your personal story and how you interact with the world around you.
In Restore, we help you learn how your story intersects with God’s story in four ways:
Creation
God’s story shows us how we are meant to love him and others.
Fall
God’s story shows us what went wrong and why we experience evil today.
Redemption
God’s story shows us how we are being restored through Jesus and his work on the cross.
Reconciliation
God’s story shows us how He will restore everything back to it’s original intent and design forever.
Restore is not a recovery ministry.
It is a discipleship framework designed to change how you approach your daily walk with Jesus.
Restore Groups
Part of Restore is being placed in small groups with people who are going through the same process. By doing this, you will begin to see not only how Jesus makes a difference in your everyday life, but also in the lives of others.

Instead of going to God, I would run away…
Keli and Matt both had shame and guilt causing distance between them, their relationship with each other, and their relationship with God. Through learning their place in God’s story, they were able to see how Jesus loved them despite their struggles and the freedom knowing that brings.
Hope showed up and changed my life
Hear stories of people living for themselves, feeling far from God and full of shame, guilt, and anger.
Then hope showed up and changed everything.
My past caused me shame…
Ron’s life was weighing on him daily. Through Restore, he found a peace knowing God was in control of his life and loved him no matter what he’d done in his past.
I found out I have a problem with pride
Randall saw himself as better than others. He learned that God loves him and will never forsake him. By God’s grace, he is striving to see and treat others the way God does.
I was angry, ashamed, and anxious…
CJ lived daily not knowing how to actually apply what she knew about the Bible to her life. That led to anger, shame, and anxiety that overwhelmed her on a daily basis. Through Restore, she learned how to live in the grace of Jesus and truly cast all her cares on him.
I endured years of abuse and my own sin. I felt like a fraud of a Christian…
Bethany felt like she was crumbling under the pressures of life. God showed her that He understands her pain and struggles and that communion with Him is her utmost good. Bethany is learning that she doesn’t have to live under the guilt and shame of all the ways she falls short, but is rejoicing and trusting God and his unfailing grace and goodness… for abusers and victims alike.
I didn’t like being a Christian…
Jill became a Christian at a young age but was never taught what it meant to be a disciple. She struggled with fear, shame, and living up to what she thought a Christian should be. Restore helped her learn she was loved and accepted by Jesus no matter what.

Is Restore right for me?
Yes! Whether you’re aware of it or not, you experience the results of sinfulness and brokenness every single day. You might not always see it or be able to notice it when it happens, but there are places in your everyday life Jesus wants to restore back to how they were created to be.
Do I have to share my story?
Sharing your story is a part of Restore. And we’ll be honest: it’s the hardest part of Restore.
But we don’t sit in our stories and relive them week after week. We take parts of our story – the themes and common struggles that impacted us the second Adam and Eve sinned in the garden – and we learn to pivot to God’s story so you can find restoration through it all.
When we begin to intersect our story with God’s story is when we start to see how Jesus makes a difference in our everyday lives.
Do I have to sit in the weight of other people's stories?
You will hear other people’s story but you won’t have to carry the weight of their emotions.
One thing we know to be true is that it is sometimes easier to see how someone else’s story intersects with God’s story than it is to see it in our own story. Sharing with others allows you to have the practice seeing where God is at work and allows others to shine light in blindspots you might have in your own story.
Is Restore different from the other groups or Discipleshop Tools?
When we abide with Jesus, he begins to restore us back to where we were created to be.
Restore and abide are tied together.
We integrate all of the Discipleship Tools into Restore so you can truly see how they make a different on a normal, everyday level.
While you’re in Restore, we suggest you pause attending a Life Group or Abide Group.
Should I attend Restore or a Life Group?
Restore is a great first step before joining a Life Group, not a substitute for Life Groups.
Through your experience in Restore, God will deepen your understanding of discipleship and care in community so that you will be better equipped to encourage and comfort those in your Life Group.
Is childcare provided?
Childcare will not be provided. However, families are welcome to get creative by joining together and sharing cost of a babysitter or asking someone in your Life Group to help out.
