This once a year running event is aimed at addressing food insecurity in Forsyth County through our local missions partner H.O.P.E. What began as a solo race started by Salem Chapel member Justin Bailey on his birthday to raise money for H.O.P.E, has evolved into a growing community-driven effort. This year, we are thrilled to announce the addition of a 5k, 10k, and 1-mile fun run race alongside the main 47-mile run, offering various ways for participants to get involved.
The event will be held on January 25 at Kimberley Park right here in the Boston-Thurmond neighborhood. All proceeds benefit HOPE of Winston Salem and help curb food insecurity for many families in Forsyth County.
There are 2 ways you can get involved!
1. You can run in a race or simply attend to show support. Sign up to race here.
2. You can donate directly to H.O.P.E. by clicking here. Make sure to add ’47 Miles of HOPE’ in the additional info box.
Together, we can make a significant difference in the fight against food insecurity in our neighborhood and community.
